Join us for an evening of incredible local music! Josh Carter and Barrett Davis will be sharing the stage and showcasing their talent.
Born and raised in the Southern Appalachians, I grew up around music. At age 9 I began to study piano, which let to guitar, bass, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, dulcimer, drums, etc etc. I always dreamed of playing in a band, but the middle school talent show was where it started. I won first place with a piano/violin ragtime duo, and from there I was hooked. Everywhere I went I would try to find people to play music with. In college I started my first gigging band with my roommates, and from there it has been an amazing journey of music experiences. I love kids. Teaching music is my bread and butter. I teach at Mountain Sun School, Boys and Girls Club and music lessons on the side. On the weekends, keep an eye out for my band Pretty Little Goat. Wonderful group of musicians, it's a blessing every chance I get to play with them, and it's always a little different each time.
Born in the mountains of WNC I was raised to be a folk musician by a master in the fine arts and a classical pianist. Music is my passion, my life. The culture and beauty of the Appalachian mountains has served me a lifetime of inspiration as I continue to express my art. I have performed at many festivals including Merle Fest and was a former Singer and songwriter for The Fox Fire. As a professional I strive to deliver masterful original music to my listeners.
