General Admission show - $5 ADV // $7 DOS What would you get if you blended the economy of The Edge with the blowtorch blues of Jack White, added to the direct, narrative songwriting of Tom Petty and the dramatic flair of The Killers? Probably something like Jay Van Raalte. The Charleston native’s musical endeavors have ranged from old school blues to folk/country, from musical theater to modern rock, but three things remain constant: thoughtful guitar playing, perceptive songwriting, and a strict attention to detail and arrangement. All of this is on display in Linearity, the Reverend Guitars featured artist’s debut release. The self-produced EP features Van Raalte on nearly every instrument, but bringing the songs to life onstage requires a team: Derk Van Raalte (bass) and Bradley Palles (drums) make up the rest of live band Jay Van Raalte and The Spectrum, providing a rock-solid foundation for Jay’s fiery guitar playing.

General Admission show - $12 ADV // $15 DOS The Alabama-born, Tennessee-bred Southern rock band, The Vegabonds got their start in Alabama, after meeting while attending Auburn University in 2009 and playing the college circuit across the Southeastern United States. Their popularity quickly burgeoned to the point where they found their fans singing along word-for-word to their first hits like Georgia Fire and “Shaky Hands.” From Ole Miss to South Carolina, students buzzed about The Vegabonds authentic sound and their seemingly effortless ability to bring the house down. Through word of mouth, the group’s fan base rapidly grew, and the guys learned they had something distinctive with their eclectic mix of Southern Rock, Country, and earnest songwriting. Their DIY efforts delivered three full-length albums and an EP before partnering with Blue Élan Records.

$20 a seat/must reserve entire table/tables are limited -- Outdoor GA tickets $10 Tuesday casual collaborations at 185 King Street are the result of what has now been over a year-long series that Travis Book started to fulfill a need for live music during the pandemic period. When music venues around the country were closed we pivoted to find a way to provide live music to our community. Open air and spaced out, we prevailed. Every Tuesday since August of 2020, Travis has assembled 3-4 musicians for a unique night of music. After more than a year, the series has become the cornerstone of the Brevard music community; bringing musicians and music fans together for one-time-only collaborations. Travis has hosted a wide range of musicians, including: Mike Ashworth, Anders Beck, Nicki Bluhm, Josh Daniel, Andy Dunnigan, Benny “Burle” Galloway, Mike Guggino, Lindsay Lou, Tommy Maher, Mimi Naja, Lyndsay Pruett, Rev. Matthew Reiger, Jon Stickley, Barrett Smith, Kyle Tuttle, and Jon Weisberger and is now occasionally handing the mic over to let some of his friends take the lead. Every week is different, but it’s not just a jam; the musicians bring intention to every setlist and every show and as a result, these carefully cultivated shows are becoming a cornerstone of the WNC music scene.
