Blake Christiana and Rick Bugel are the founding members for the band, Yarn. That’s certainly no small accomplishment, especially for a band that spent two years honing their chops during a Monday night residency at the famed Kenny’s Castaway in New York’s Greenwich Village. In effect, it allowed them to rehearse onstage, mostly in front of audiences that often ranged in size from five to fifty people on any given Monday night.

Travis Book & Friends: Intimate Casual Collaborations will be an ongoing series at 185 King Street. For this edition Travis welcomes Charlotte's Josh Daniel. Travis goes way back with this North Carolina picker and we should get some wild acoustic jams going on this cold winter night. Bring a blanket, dress warm!
Travis Book; bassist, songwriter, and vocalist in the Grammy Award winning bluegrass band, The Infamous Stringdusters loves to play music. With his touring, festivals, and large club shows on hold indefinitely, he started a live-streaming variety show called The Travis Book Happy Hour in the summer of 2020. As he started assembling the guests and writing the shows, he realized that he wanted to play more music than what the variety show format would allow. A resident of Brevard, he reached out to King St. about doing a residency where he and his guests (friends) could perform improvised, intimate shows the night prior to taping. It could be anyone coming down to sit-in on some tunes.
