Travis Book & Friends: Intimate Casual Collaborations will be an ongoing series at 185 King Street. This first show will be with special guest Lindsay Lou. Join us for a casual evening of music with Travis and his friends. .
Travis Book; bassist, songwriter, and vocalist in the Grammy Award winning bluegrass band, The Infamous Stringdusters loves to play music. With his touring, festivals, and large club shows on hold indefinitely, he started a live-streaming variety show called The Travis Book Happy Hour in the summer of 2020. As he started assembling the guests and writing the shows, he realized that he wanted to play more music than what the variety show format would allow. A resident of Brevard, he reached out to King St. about doing a residency where he and his guests (friends) could perform improvised, intimate shows the night prior to taping. It could be anyone coming down to sit-in on some tunes.
Featured guest Lindsay Lou came up in Michigan surrounded by the Great Lakes and singing like a siren calling out over sweet water seas. In battle cries and lullabies, her songwriting and agile voice speak to the current times with an authenticity that's hard to find.
Live shows will be looking a little different in order to do our part with social distancing while still filling the space we have available efficiently. Tickets will now be sold as tables. Take a look at the diagram below and find a table that will best suit you and your guests and then make your reservation by purchasing the entire table.
