Launched in August of 2020, Tuesday Casual Collaborations at 185 King Street has become a cornerstone of the vibrant Brevard music community. Every week Travis Book assembles a unique group of musicians for a one-time-only show, drawing on his vast network of friends and growing repertoire of musical styles. From Bluegrass to Blues, Songwriter to Americana, Country to Funk, Travis and his ever-evolving cast of local and national (even international) musicians consistently hit the sweet spot between preparation and spontaneity.

This week will be a Happy Hour edition; therefore, an interview of the featured guest, Caitlin Krisko, will take place in the middle of the show.  Known for her soaring vocal performances, Caitlin Krisko is a powerhouse soul rock singer from Asheville, NC.  Krisko established her band “Krisko and the Broadcast” in 2021 and their electrified and unforgettable performances have led them to working with members of Tedeschi Trucks Band and David Bowie’s Blackstar Band on their newest studio album “Lost My Sight.”

Krisko captivates her audiences, bringing the perfect blend of power and vulnerability throughout her shows. With a mix of soul rock arrangements with dashes of blues and pop, Caitlin Krisko and The Broadcast has shared stages with Mavis Staples, the late Charles Bradley, St. Paul and the Broken Bones, Marcus King, The String Cheese Incident, Bettye Layette, and Gregg Allman’s Buffalo Mountain Jam among others.
